On the road

Eleanor Bishop: Okay, this is ridiculous. I'm gonna ask for directions. There. Turn. Turn!

Nicholas Torres: I'm doing it, I'm doing it, I'm doing it.

Eleanor Bishop: I can't believe I let you drive.

Nicholas Torres: Uh, how is this my fault? You're the navigator.

Eleanor Bishop: Yeah, well, the navigation only works if you follow it.

Nicholas Torres: I miss McGee.

Eleanor Bishop: Oh, believe me, if I could trade you for him right now, I would.

Nicholas Torres: Hey!

Parking

Nicholas Torres: That hurt my feelings.

Eleanor Bishop: Still no service.

Nicholas Torres: Hey, don't you blame that on me. I'm not the dude that gave you awful directions.

Eleanor Bishop: Yeah, well, what do you expect with no street signs? Plus, how nervous would you be about tipping off the Feds about a house full of explosives?

Nicholas Torres: Who you trying to call?

Eleanor Bishop: Look, you better hope these people can tell us where the tree that looks like Dolly Parton is...

Nicholas Torres: No, seriously. You've been trying to get service since before we got lost. Just seems like an important call, that's all. What's going on?

Eleanor Bishop: Oh, look. Your favorite, a car with a popped hood.

Nicholas Torres: All right, all right… Uh... The battery cable's fried.

Sheriff's office and residence: porch

Eleanor Bishop: Hey, this is a-a landmark. "Notable historical site. Sheriff's office and residence."

Nicholas Torres: "1898," ooh. I bet there was some, uh, notable mustaches back then.

Eleanor Bishop: Ooh. Door is open. Hello? NCIS.

Sheriff's office and residence

Eleanor Bishop: Looking for some directions.

Nicholas Torres: Yeah, and you also need a new, uh, battery cable… Wow. Hola, serial killer.

Eleanor Bishop: Mm, no, this was a sheriff's place, remember? You know, I saw a house like this on Zillow once.

Gunshots

Jesse Duncan: Get up, get up! Let's go, get up! Come on!

NCIS: Vance’s office

Leon Vance: Yes, I will do that. But your first priority is you, understood? All right, yes, you do the same… Gibbs, that was Agent McGee. You didn't tell me that he was released from the hospital… And in other good news, I didn't expect to see your shining face till the end of the week.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: After-action report is done. Did a show-and-tell for SECNAV and half the DEA.

Leon Vance: All right, so Merriweather's behind bars, McGee's on the mend and everyone has been sufficiently briefed. Case closed… Now what?

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Well, that's what I'm asking you, Leon. SECNAV said there was something new? Maybe in Norfolk?

Leon Vance: Mm-hmm.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: "Mm-hmm"? What?

Leon Vance: Back to the Merriweather thing. That wasn't just any action you saw, Gibbs. Agent Bishop was almost killed… You shot McGee for God's sakes.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: I did what I had to do… McGee knows that.

Leon Vance: You talked to him?

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: He needs to rest.

Leon Vance: So you didn't talk to him?

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Leon, we got something new at Norfolk or what?

Leon Vance: Yeah. Yeah, we do… Smuggled explosives… We intercepted this shipment, but intel suggests that there are more out there.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: C-4?

Leon Vance: No. They're calling them "cocktail bricks." It's a novel mixture. Puts any standard explosive to shame. Bricks are being sold on the dark web to the highest bidder. And they ain't cheap. They're going for upwards of 1K a pound.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Who's doing the selling?

Leon Vance: Two brothers from Ontario. Names are Craig and Jesse Duncan. There's a BOLO out wide, but their whereabouts are unknown.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Just the two of them?

Leon Vance: Yeah, from our reports, these two are ruthless enough to do the damage of ten… Hey, Gibbs? I know you're down an agent with McGee out. But Bishop and Torres already started digging into it.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Ah. We're good.

NCIS: bullpen

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Okay, update, let's go!

Sheriff's office and residence: jail

Eleanor Bishop: They're definitely gone. The Duncans have left the building. You know, I bet they're headed to the doctor. We hit that one guy at least twice… Thanks to your wrong turns, we must've been driving in circles and ended up at the right... House… Nick?

Nicholas Torres: How are you moving the toilet right now?!

Eleanor Bishop: You know, you know what I don't get is why these guys were operating out of an old sheriff's place. It makes no sense.

Nicholas Torres: Well, it makes all the sense. Word on the street is you got a jail in your basement, no one's gonna even think about coming at you… Okay, seriously, yours is not bolted at all, right?

Eleanor Bishop: Okay, I'm in position… No way!

Nicholas Torres: What?

Eleanor Bishop: They took our car!

Nicholas Torres: What?! Oh, of course they did! Of course! Of course they took the car! Of course, because their battery cable was fried!

Eleanor Bishop: Okay, just calm down. Calm down… All right, I took the glass out… These bars aren't going anywhere.

Nicholas Torres: Wait, hold up. Because, uh, when I make it up to my window, uh, maybe I'll, uh, I'll rip out the bars.

Eleanor Bishop: Right, with your superhuman strength?

Nicholas Torres: Yeah.

Eleanor Bishop: Mm, okay. Okay… Let's try something… I have service! I have a bar! Damn it! How does a bar show up and then never come back again? Uh... You okay over there?

Nicholas Torres: I really think we're stuck in here.

Eleanor Bishop: Wait a minute.

Nicholas Torres: What? What is it? Ellie, we have a wall between us... What is it?

Eleanor Bishop: Uh... I found something.

Nicholas Torres: What?

Eleanor Bishop: I found their explosives.

Nicholas Torres: The cocktails, the ones they're trying to sell?

Eleanor Bishop: Yeah. They're here.

Nicholas Torres: How many?

Eleanor Bishop: A lot. I mean, this is worth a fortune… There's no way they'd leave these behind… First chance they get, they'll come back for them.

NCIS: Autopsy

James Palmer: Whenever I think about what happened, it's like a movie playing in my mind. The Merriweather Meltdown. Our team has vowed to take out drug terrorist Merriweather and the plane is seconds from exploding... You-you know what? It might look better over there actually. McGee thinks Bishop is inside. And nothing can stop him from trying to get to her.

Kasie Hines: So Gibbs has to shoot McGee in order to save his life. No other choice... A rock and a hard place. The Merriweather Meltdown... I got it the first ten times you told me.

James Palmer: Sorry, yeah, I keep bringing it up, I know. I thought that, uh, a change of scenery in here might help get my mind off the fragility of life, but...

Kasie Hines: J, you're in Autopsy. I don't think moving a desk is gonna stop you from thinking about the fragility of life.

James Palmer: One millimeter, Kasie. If Gibbs's second shot had been one millimeter to the left, it would have severed the femoral artery, and McGee would be dead. How does McGee live with that? And Gibbs. I mean, McGee is like a son to him. How does he drink his coffee? How does he answer that flip phone? How does he do anything, knowing that he almost killed...?

Kasie Hines: Oh, hi, Gibbs.

James Palmer: Oh, hi, Gibbs. We were just moving my desk around. I think a change of scenery is good in here, don't you?

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: We got anything on the case?

James Palmer: You mean Merriweather?

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: The one we're doing now, Palmer.

Kasie Hines: Nah, can't really give you anything until Bishop and Torres come back with something for us.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Where are they? You know where they went?

James Palmer: They don't usually sign out with us when they leave the building.

Kasie Hines: Man...

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Scenery's better where it always was.

Sheriff's office and residence: jail

Eleanor Bishop: Not one detonator. These things are useless.

Nicholas Torres: Well, you wouldn't want to use them to bust out of here. A mix like that... We don't know what kind of damage it could do.

Eleanor Bishop: Hmm. Since when did you become so careful, cowboy?

Nicholas Torres: Only have one shot left.

Eleanor Bishop: Hmm… Two for me. When these guys come back, we're screwed.

Nicholas Torres: Hey, we're gonna figure this out, okay? Are you okay? If you're nodding, I can't really see it.

Eleanor Bishop: You don't have to keep asking me. If I'm not okay, I'll let you know.

Nicholas Torres: Yeah, sure you will.

Eleanor Bishop: What is that supposed to mean?

Nicholas Torres: You know exactly what it means.

Eleanor Bishop: No. If I knew what it meant, I wouldn't be asking.

Nicholas Torres: It means that you were trying to make a call in the car for, like, 20 minutes, and you wouldn't tell me who you were calling.

Eleanor Bishop: Because it's none of your business.

Nicholas Torres: But you made it none of my business when you decided to hide it from me.

Eleanor Bishop: Why are you being so hover-y?

Nicholas Torres: First of all, who says "hover-y"?

Eleanor Bishop: You refused to let me drive, you had to be a hero with the directions, you are badgering me about my phone calls, and this morning, you made me wait eight minutes before I had a sip of my coffee so it wouldn't burn my tongue.

Nicholas Torres: Because it burned my tongue! I was trying to save you.

Eleanor Bishop: I don't need saving!

Nicholas Torres: That call you were trying to make is about something that's going on with you.

Eleanor Bishop: Okay. So we're back to this again?

Nicholas Torres: Yeah, I always tell you what's going on with me.

Eleanor Bishop: You do not.

Nicholas Torres: Yeah, you ask, I tell you.

Eleanor Bishop: I was trying to call Sloane, okay? I had an appointment with her that I'm obviously going to have to reschedule, so can we just get back to our lives now?

Nicholas Torres: You call her to talk about Merriweather and the plane?

Eleanor Bishop: Nick, can we just...? Look, we really need to figure out a way out of here, okay?

NCIS: Sloane’s office / McGee’s apartment: bedroom

Jacqueline Sloane: You know I'm not gonna talk to you about work. That's not why I called.

Timothy McGee: Yeah, I know why you called. I'm fine. Oh!

Jacqueline Sloane: McGee?

Timothy McGee: Yeah… Hey, sorry. No, I'm fine. I'm fine. So Delilah took the kids to her mom's, let me get some rest, but I'll tell you what, I just can't get my brain to turn off. I talked to Vance. The Duncans and-and the explosives sound absolutely insane.

Jacqueline Sloane: So when you rest, you think. What are you thinking about, McGee?

Timothy McGee: Can you just tell me more about the case before I go crazy, please?

Jacqueline Sloane: Uh, nope. And we will pick this up again later. Got it? Goodbye.

NCIS: Sloane’s office

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: What do we know?

Jacqueline Sloane: Craig and Jesse Duncan. Abusive father, absent mother. They grew up to be two live wires who value business over brotherhood. Over everything, really.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: They got records.

Jacqueline Sloane: Yep, and pretty extensive. Mostly for setting off illegal explosives in what I would call extremely creative ways.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: That it?

Jacqueline Sloane: Yep.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Are you sure? You've been kind of off.

Jacqueline Sloane: No, I'm good… I'm good… Uh, but you. Uh, uh, tell me about you. How have you been?

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: What do you want me to say, Jack?

Jacqueline Sloane: Come on. One millimeter is one hell of a close call. And I'm pretty sure it's weighing on McGee, too.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: I did what I had to do. McGee knows that.

Jacqueline Sloane: Does he? Because I just talked to him, and he was dodging the topic as hard as you are right now.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Do you know where Bishop and Torres went?

Jacqueline Sloane: Little off-kilter without our team, are we?

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Do you know where they went or not, Jack?

Jacqueline Sloane: They don't usually sign out with me before leaving the building, Gibbs. I-I... But I do know that Bishop will be back soon. We have an appointment… Actually, she should've been here by now.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Yes. Gibbs… What? Where?

Forest

Marcus Mayes: Deceased is in the vehicle. White male, 20s. Good match to the photo of Craig Duncan from your BOLO.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: How good a match?

Marcus Mayes: It's a soft I.D. only. We still need confirmation. There was another person in the car with him.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Brother?

Marcus Mayes: Could be. Whoever it was ditched the car, took the vic's I.D. and the car's plates, got picked up in another vehicle to flee the scene… As soon as we get confirmation this is your guy, we can transfer the case right over to you guys.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: This is our car.

Marcus Mayes: Excuse me?

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: It's an NCIS vehicle. The agents driving haven't reported back all morning.

Marcus Mayes: Look, until I get that I.D., there's nothing...

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: I don't give a damn about the I.D… Everything goes back to NCIS now. My agents, it's my case.

NCIS: Autopsy

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: What do we got?

James Palmer: Positively I.D.'d the victim as Craig Duncan. He's got, uh, one gunshot wound to the shoulder, one to the chest. He bled out in the car.

Kasie Hines: Just like you thought, the driver of the car was the brother, Jesse Duncan. His fingerprints are all over the steering wheel. But where he ran off to, we have no idea. And I know Bishop and Torres are out there, but before we get all bent out of shape about what we don't know, let's take a breath and focus on what we do know.

James Palmer: I extracted the bullets from the body, and Kasie compared them to some slugs she pulled from evidence.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Are the bullets ours?

Kasie Hines: Yep, one was fired from Torres's weapon, the other was from Bishop's.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Did he return fire?

Kasie Hines: GSR on his hands says yes.

James Palmer: Based on the amount of blood in the car, I'd say that the Duncans fled pretty quickly after he was shot.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: You think Bishop and Torres sent them running.

Kasie Hines: Yep. Plus, the Duncans had to hot-wire the car, which means hey couldn't get close enough to our guys to get the keys.

James Palmer: Plus, the lack of our guys' blood...

Kasie Hines: That's right. I didn't find any of Bishop or Torres's blood anywhere, so...

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: You think they're alive?

James Palmer: Oh, I more than think it, Gibbs… I can feel it in here. Also, all of the evidence supports it, so...

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Why haven't they checked in?

Kasie Hines: Deer poop. I found a good amount of white-tailed deer excrement, various forms of vegetation, etcetera, ground into the tires of their car.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: They were driving in the woods.

Kasie Hines: Now, I can take you through all the specific species I found... But I won't. Bottom line is, I think Bishop and Torres drove somewhere remote, which means they could be stuck there now without cell service.

James Palmer: And without a car.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Then they are waiting on us.

James Palmer: You know, I was thinking, the desk could actually work right over there, too.

Kasie Hines: J?

James Palmer: Yeah.

Kasie Hines: Life's gonna be fragile no matter where you put the furniture. But Bishop and Torres... They're gonna be fine.

Sheriff's office and residence: jail

Eleanor Bishop: Concrete, water, fire… Fire. These things can't detonate, but we could burn them.

Nicholas Torres: And burning ourselves alive would help how?

Eleanor Bishop: It's called "brainstorming," and I'm just throwing ideas around.

Nicholas Torres: Maybe you should throw out a good one.

Eleanor Bishop: Okay. At least I'm trying. You're just shooting everything down.

Nicholas Torres: Well, because they're all bad ideas.

Eleanor Bishop: Can I have a piece of gum?

Nicholas Torres: What?

Eleanor Bishop: I think better when I'm chewing.

Nicholas Torres: I don't have any.

Eleanor Bishop: Nick, I'm not an idiot. I know you keep an extra one in your front left pocket for breath emergencies.

Nicholas Torres: Well, that's my-my last piece, and I'm trying to save it.

Eleanor Bishop: For what?

Nicholas Torres: Well, you know, in case we have to MacGyver something later.

Eleanor Bishop: Oh. Okay. You think my ideas are bad, and you think we're gonna bust out of here with a piece of Big Red?

Nicholas Torres: Look, you don't know why...

Eleanor Bishop: Give me the fricking gum!

Nicholas Torres: Okay, fine… Damn. Take it down a notch, all right?

Eleanor Bishop: Thank you… Oh, my God.

Nicholas Torres: Look, it's mushy, all right, but my pants are sweaty. What do you want me to do?

Eleanor Bishop: No. There's a bolt here. It stopped the door from closing.

Nicholas Torres: Can you open it?

Eleanor Bishop: No!

Nicholas Torres: You need a lever.

Eleanor Bishop: Ah. Okay, MacGyver. You got one of those in your other pocket? Oh. That'll do.

NCIS: bullpen

Leon Vance: Update. What do we know?

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: I think they're stranded.

Leon Vance: And we have no idea where? Tell you what. I'll temporarily assign you agents to help with the search. I can also call... Gibbs?

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: They were sitting here. And then they walked out, and they went somewhere… And I got to find out where.

McGee’s building: hallway

Timothy McGee: Boss. Hey… What's all this?

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Told you I need computer help.

Timothy McGee: Uh, I-I got your message, but, you know, you, uh, you-you really didn't need to bring all that here. I was able to access Torres and Bishop's systems remotely from my laptop.

McGee’s apartment: living room

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Oh.

Timothy McGee: Yeah, so, uh, I just finished going through their systems… Torres hasn't logged in for the week. And the only thing that Bishop did this morning was update her emergency contact data… Anything else I can... I can help with? Anything I can do?

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Mm, no. Nothing. Get some rest.

Timothy McGee: Hey, listen, uh, I've been meaning to call you… You did what you had to do, I know that.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Exactly.

Timothy McGee: Yeah… Wait, whoa. Bishop's laptop.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Yeah.

Timothy McGee: Yeah, no, I-I helped her install network protocols on here for added security.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Yeah, so?

Timothy McGee: So it's possible she might have done some work on here that hasn't uploaded yet… Yep, there it is… She started generating a tip report.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: She got a call from the tip line?

Timothy McGee: Yeah, she logged in the date and time of the call, but she never finished filling out the details.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Hey, Kasie. Look into something for me.

Sheriff's office and residence: jail

Nicholas Torres: Are you using your quads? You got to use your quads… Hey, Ellie, what angle are your feet?

Eleanor Bishop: Okay, the more... You shut up... The harder I can push… What the...?

Nicholas Torres: I think I heard the door move. Did the door just move? Are you out?

Eleanor Bishop: Oh... Holly mother.

Nicholas Torres: Ellie. Did you get it open, yes or no?

Eleanor Bishop: Um... Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, I got the door open, but, um... I'm pretty sure these cells are rigged to blow.

Nicholas Torres: What? D-Do you see a timer?

Eleanor Bishop: No. When I opened the door, it released some sort of... Pressure plate, and it's wired to the ceiling.

Nicholas Torres: No, no, no, if a pressure plate would've been released, then the explosives would have gone off.

Eleanor Bishop: Yeah, n-not so much... It wasn't released all the way, because I, um... I'm standing on it.

Nicholas Torres: You gotta be freaking kidding me.

Later

Eleanor Bishop: Well, this is my second bomb encounter of the week. That's got to be some kind of agency record, right? But then again, Gibbs probably has me beat.

Nicholas Torres: So, this is the storage place for their high-priced explosives. But why rig these cells to blow?

Eleanor Bishop: When they leave, they flip the switch, and then if anybody breaks in, the whole place just blows.

Nicholas Torres: Yeah, no evidence to lead back to them… That's a good call.

Eleanor Bishop: Wait a minute. Was that a "Torres Teachable Moment"? You know, when you ask me a question that you already know the answer to, and then if I get it right, you congratulate me?

Nicholas Torres: No, I'm not playing mind games. I'm just, uh, I'm trying to make a-a foothold here so I can reach my window.

Eleanor Bishop: Oh, no, dude, the phone thing isn't gonna work.

Nicholas Torres: Well, you had a bar for, like, a second, and my arms are longer than yours.

Eleanor Bishop: They are not.

Nicholas Torres: Yes, they are.

Eleanor Bishop: No, actually, your arms are disproportionately short for your body.

Nicholas Torres: Okay, will you stop? You're standing on a bomb. We don't have a lot of options.

Eleanor Bishop: Yeah.

Nicholas Torres: Ay, ay, ay… The foothold's not deep enough… I'm gonna shoot it.

Eleanor Bishop: What?

Nicholas Torres: Brace.

Eleanor Bishop: No! Stop. H-Hello? Ricochet? If you shoot the wall, the bullet could just bounce right back at you.

Nicholas Torres: I'll duck.

Eleanor Bishop: No, stop, stop. Just... Do you... Do you want to know what I was gonna tell Sloane? During my appointment today? I... When they were trying to get me on that plane, I knew there was a bomb, and I knew if they got me on the plane, that I'd never get off, so I... I fought… And... I wasn't just fighting for me, I was fighting... Look, you only have one bullet left. You need to save it… Okay? We... We'll figure something out.

Nicholas Torres: Okay.

NCIS: bullpen

Kasie Hines: Hello. You have reached forensic scientist Kasie Hines of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service. I'm either away from my desk or on another call. Kindly leave a detailed message, and I will return your call as soon as possible.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Hey, Kase. It's me.

Kasie Hines: Thank you, and have a phenomenal day.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Kasie… You got anything?

James Palmer: Whoa! Heads up.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Kasie. I was calling you.

Kasie Hines: In the lab? I was there, then I stopped down to grab Jimmy, and then we were in the elevator, and...

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Got anything?

Kasie Hines: I followed up on your lead. A call placed to the tip line was routed form the main switchboard to Bishop's cell this morning.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: You know who made the call?

Kasie Hines: I tracked down the tipster's name, address and number, but since we have to assume the tip was meant to be anonymous, I'm not sure it's ethical to use this.

James Palmer: That is where I come in.

Kasie Hines: He's the most ethical person I know, so I brought him down here so the three of us could discuss.

James Palmer: Here are my thoughts. Now, uh, first, we're...

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Dial.

Kasie Hines: Oh. The tipster? You want me to...

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Exigent circumstances. Bishop and Torres are in danger. End of discussion.

Kasie Hines: All right, okay. Just... Caller's name is Michael Hodge.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Voice mail… All right… Send me his address.

James Palmer: Was he trying to give himself an update? That is so sad.

Sheriff's office and residence: jail

Eleanor Bishop: Nick, give me an inventory… Nick!

Nicholas Torres: What?

Eleanor Bishop: Wearing a hole in the floor isn't gonna do anything. Look around and give me an inventory of what you see.

Nicholas Torres: We did that already, twice. There's nothing here that can help us… Forget it. I got to get up to that window. I'm shooting the wall.

Eleanor Bishop: No! Just please...

Nicholas Torres: No, listen, I'm not gonna make another list here. Your weight could shift. Uh, your leg could cramp.

Eleanor Bishop: I'm not gonna get a cramp.

Nicholas Torres: You don't know that. You... 'Cause...

Eleanor Bishop: 'Cause I'm a girl, and girls get cramps? I swear to God, I-I've had enough of your overprotective, hover-y man crap.

Nicholas Torres: Look, it's not because you're a woman, it's because you're...

Eleanor Bishop: Because I'm me? I kicked your ass in every...

Nicholas Torres: You're not listening to what I'm trying to say to you! Just listen! I'm not gonna sit here and watch you almost get blown up again. I'm not okay with you getting blown up, Ellie… I'm not okay with that.

Eleanor Bishop: What's going on over there?

Nicholas Torres: Close calls make you live harder… Brace.

Eleanor Bishop: Nick?

Nicholas Torres: Just kidding. It worked.

Eleanor Bishop: It did?

Nicholas Torres: Hell yeah, baby. Vámonos.

Building: hallway

Michael Hodge: Yeah?

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Michael Hodge? Special Agent Gibbs. NCIS. Mind if I ask a few questions?

Michael Hodge’s apartment

Michael Hodge: We waiting on someone else? Your-your partner or someone to ask the questions?

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: You made a call to the tip line this morning? That was a question.

Michael Hodge: Sorry, uh, it's just that I'm... My dad... Used to do that. Look at me without talking… I hated it.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Mm-hmm.

Michael Hodge: Uh, yeah, I called the tip line. Lady said it was anonymous.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Special Agent Bishop.

Michael Hodge: So, not anonymous, huh?

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: What was the tip?

Michael Hodge: Uh, I told her about these papers that I found. I was going through my dad's old stuff… He died last week.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: I'm sorry.

Michael Hodge: Yeah, these papers, um... They're like this classified Navy stuff, and I didn't know what to do with them. Didn't want to make my dad look bad, having them around the house, you know?

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: These papers have something to do with the Duncans?

Michael Hodge: The who?

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Craig and Jesse Duncan.

Michael Hodge: I don't know who that is, but I have the papers if you want to see them.

Michael Hodge’s apartment: kitchen / Sheriff's office and residence: jail

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Hey. Torres.

Nicholas Torres: Gibbs.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: You okay?

Nicholas Torres: Yeah, yeah, yeah, we're okay.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Where are you?

Nicholas Torres: We went... Tip...

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: What? You're breaking up.

Nicholas Torres: Wait. Gibbs, can you hear me?

Eleanor Bishop: Can he hear you?

Nicholas Torres: I don't know. He's not answering… Gibbs, we're stuck. We're stuck in an old... The-the sign said... Notable... Down in...

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Nick, can you hear me?

Nicholas Torres: Gibbs, hear me?

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Say again.

Nicholas Torres: The... Notable... Down in...

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Torres!

Nicholas Torres: Gibbs?

Michael Hodge’s apartment : bedroom

Michael Hodge: Hey! H-Hey!

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: I don't like liars.

NCIS: hallway / McGee’s apartment: living room

Jacqueline Sloane: Torres made contact. He called Gibbs.

Timothy McGee: Is he okay? What about Bishop?

Jacqueline Sloane: Yes, thank God, but we still have no idea where they are.

Timothy McGee: Did you pin down a cell tower?

Jacqueline Sloane: No, the connection wasn't good enough. And, in fact, the only other word that Gibbs could make out was "notable."

Timothy McGee: Wait, "notable"? Torres has never used that word in his life.

Jacqueline Sloane: Hey, McGee, have you talked to Gibbs yet about this one-millimeter thing? A close call like that can really affect you. And now with Torres and Bishop on the line, I just want to make sure Gibbs is okay… I got to go.

NCIS: observation room

Jacqueline Sloane: He's moving furniture now?

NCIS: interview room

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Change of scenery.

Michael Hodge: I know what you're doing… I told you the thing about my dad staring and now you're...

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: How do you know Jesse Duncan?

Michael Hodge: I'm not looking to get mixed up in this, man. I could ask for my lawyer.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Yeah, you could. Then again, I got two agents in danger right now. And what would your dad say about that, Michael?

Michael Hodge: Look, I've known the Duncans since we were kids… They were gonna bring me in on the thing they got going. They were training me… But I changed my mind.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Why?

Michael Hodge: My dad found out what was going on. He begged me to get out… I promised him I would… It was the last thing I said to him before he died.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Sorry.

Michael Hodge: But the Duncans... They'd never let me out alive. I know too much.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: So you called in a tip.

Michael Hodge: Said I knew about some cocktail bricks in a house. It was supposed to be anonymous. I thought you guys would go down there and... Take them down, and I could just walk. But then Jesse called… He asked me to pick him up on the side of the road.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Where is Jesse now?

Michael Hodge: I don't know. He took my truck. He's gonna leave the country. When he knows how he's getting out, he's gonna go back for the bricks and then he'll disappear.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Go back where? Look at me, son. Where'd you send my agents?

Michael Hodge: Directions are kind of complicated. Can I use your pen?

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Ballpark?

Michael Hodge: Down in Harris County.

Jacqueline Sloane: I'll get his directions to Kasie and have her call you in the car.

Sheriff's office and residence: jail

Eleanor Bishop: Anything?

Nicholas Torres: How can a bar just show up and... Not come back again?

Eleanor Bishop: Hey, how much do you think Gibbs heard?

Nicholas Torres: I don't know. From what I could make out over here, not much… Whoa… Truck.

Eleanor Bishop: Is it Gibbs? Nick?

Nicholas Torres: Not Gibbs.

Later

Nicholas Torres: Don't shoot, man. I got a situation down here.

Eleanor Bishop: Standing on your pressure plate. You shoot, I'll step off.

Nicholas Torres: You got a solid setup down here, dude.

Eleanor Bishop: Everything will explode. Me, him, your bricks down here. And probably you up there, too, am I right? So why don't you come down here and we'll talk this through.

Jesse Duncan: How do I know you're being straight? That was easy. No ammo left, huh?

Eleanor Bishop: I had two shots, actually.

Jesse Duncan: Oh.

Nicholas Torres: Where's your brother?

Jesse Duncan: Dead. You killed him.

Nicholas Torres: Sorry about that.

Jesse Duncan: We weren't that close.

Eleanor Bishop: Hey, listen. We all know how much these bricks are worth. You want your payday, we want to walk out of here in one piece.

Jesse Duncan: So what's the plan?

Eleanor Bishop: The plan is, you let him out, you disarm the bomb. We give you five minutes, take your bricks and walk away.

Jesse Duncan: You're feds. You can't make deals like that.

Eleanor Bishop: Exigent circumstances.

Jesse Duncan: Nah. You've had all day in here to figure a way to slip me up… We're doing this my way.

Nicholas Torres: Yeah? What is your way?

Jesse Duncan: I'll get this thing working and I'll let you out… But I ain't disarming anything. You go into her cell, you slide out the bricks, and I'll be on my merry way. Hey, you want to live, and I'd rather not be running from a federal murder charge the rest of my life. It's a win-win. But, if you don't like it, I could just shoot you both and take my chances with a good old duck-and-cover… What do you say?

Nicholas Torres: Open the door.

Kasie’s lab / Gibbs’s car

Kasie Hines: Okay, Gibbs, here we go. Next turn. You're gonna take a left after the tree that looks like Dolly Parton.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: You got a street name?

Kasie Hines: You think I'd be talking about Dolly if I had a street name? This guy gave the most convoluted directions ever, and these back roads aren't even marked on my navigation.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Can you see me?

Kasie Hines: Yeah, I can see you, Gibbs, but the signal keeps cutting out.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Kasie, do I turn left here or not? Kasie! Can you hear me?

Kasie Hines: I can't hear you. Gibbs, can you get to higher ground... Clearer signal?

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Kasie?

Kasie Hines: Gibbs? Gibbs!

Sheriff's office and residence: basement

Jesse Duncan: Beautiful… Careful.

Nicholas Torres: Hey, good to see you.

Eleanor Bishop: I thought you'd be sweatier.

Nicholas Torres: The day is young.

Eleanor Bishop: Hmm… Wait. Stop. Stop.

Nicholas Torres: You got it?

Eleanor Bishop: Yeah, I got it.

Nicholas Torres: You sure?

Eleanor Bishop: I'm sure.

Jesse Duncan: Let's go! I said let's go! The bricks, get them out here.

Kasie’s lab / McGee’s apartment: living room

Kasie Hines: Gibbs, you got to higher ground?

Timothy McGee: No, Kasie, it's me.

Kasie Hines: McGee, I am failing. Do you hear me? There's no signal, there's no street names. Gibbs is out there driving, and I'm in here failing.

Timothy McGee: All right, Kasie, listen to me. I think I got something.

Kasie Hines: Do not give me false hope right now, Tim.

Timothy McGee: Sloane said that when Torres called in, he used the word "notable."

Kasie Hines: Our Torres? Nick Torres?

Timothy McGee: Yeah, exactly. He would never use that word unless it meant something.

Kasie Hines: You, you think he heard it somewhere?

Timothy McGee: No, I think he read it. I found out that all Harris County landmark signs include the phrase "notable historical site."

Kasie Hines: Wait, really?

Timothy McGee: Yes. Check your in-box. I sent you a map of all the landmarks in Harris County.

Kasie Hines: Okay, got it… Ooh, and I got Gibbs calling back. Gibbs!

Kasie’s lab / McGee’s apartment: living room / Middle of nowhere

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Do you hear me now?

Timothy McGee: Yeah, loud and clear, boss. Sit tight, we're pinning down a location.

Kasie Hines: Okay, cross-referencing McGee's map with Hodge's directions... There is one Harris County landmark in the immediate area Hodge led us to. A sheriff's office and residence.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Where is it, Kase?

Sheriff's office and residence: jail

Jesse Duncan: Well... This has been a bunch of fun. But I got some borders to cross. You know, ammo or not, only a coward gives up his weapon. Or her weapon, if you're into that equality thing. Either way, you got to live with it now. The both of you. You got to live with letting me walk. Oh...

Eleanor Bishop: Hey.

Nicholas Torres: I can catch him.

Eleanor Bishop: I'm not letting you past me again.

Nicholas Torres: I got this, you'll be fine.

Eleanor Bishop: This isn't about me, it's about you… I'm not okay with you getting blown up either.

Nicholas Torres: Well, what are we gonna do about that?

Parking

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: I call shotgun… Put your hands where I can see them.

McGee’s apartment: living room

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Duncan didn't put up a fight. He-he knew it was done. Bomb squad made good time, and... Bishop and Torres got out of there pretty quick.

Timothy McGee: Yeah, I heard. Torres called me earlier, told me all about it.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Yeah… I know.

Timothy McGee: Well, if you knew that I already knew, boss, why are you here?

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: One millimeter.

Timothy McGee: One millimeter.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Tim, I-I-I... You have always been...

Timothy McGee: Boss, I struggled with it, too… And Torres, of all people... Gave me some perspective on it… Told me about everything that happened today, and he said, uh, "Close calls make you live harder." You know, and I think he's right…

NCIS: bullpen

Timothy McGee: One millimeter is so... So small, so small.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Update. Go.

Timothy McGee: It makes you appreciate the little things that much more.

Oui!!!!

"I'm not okay with you getting blown up either. " *.*

Et j'ai beaucoup aimé Ellie qui plaisante sur ses rencontres avec des bombes!

Les moments McGee & Gibbs étaient super touchant!

Palmer me fait vraiment de la peine! J'espère qu'il ira mieux aussi lui!
